820: “Tricking the Haunt” by Sebastian Bendix

Jacob is a homeless teen living alone on the streets of a dead-end desert town until he meets Burke, a fellow runaway with a fearsome ability. Like Jacob, Burke was born with an unwanted gift - he can see and talk to the dead - but unlike Jacob, Burke has developed a way to manipulate and even fool the vengeful spirits he encounters in his travels, weaponizing them against those he feels have wronged him.

With Jacob under his wing, Burke sets out to show Jacob how he too can "trick the haunts" to his personal benefit and wreak unholy supernatural havoc on the downtrodden residents of the backwater desert community -- what could possibly go wrong?
