Lawrence C. Connolly’s screenplay This Way to Egress, co-authored with David Slade (executive producer of Hannibal and American Gods) is featured in the anthology film Nightmare Cinema (2019). The film is currently streaming on AMC’s Shudder and is available via VOD from Amazon, Vudu, and iTunes.
Connolly’s books include the eco-thrillers Veins (2008), Vipers (2010), and Vortex (2014). His story collections include Visions (2009), This Way to Egress (2010), and the Bram Stoker Award finalist Voices (2011). Together, the story collections feature his best stories from Amazing Stories, Cemetery Dance, The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction, Twilight Zone, Year’s Best Horror, and other top magazines and anthologies of fantasy, horror, and science fiction.
Also a vocal performer and musician, Connolly has been a featured reader at The Fantastic Fiction reading series in New York City. His album Veins: The Soundtrack features music inspired by his novel Veins.
Connolly writes and produces the fiction podcast Prime Stage Mystery Theatre (now in its third season) and is currently working on a new stage adaptation of Frankenstein, set to premiere in 2022.
