Sydney Leigh


Sydney Leigh is a writer, editor, and former English teacher native to the North Shore of Massachusetts. Her short fiction, poetry, and reviews have appeared in such magazines and anthologies as Shock Totem, Shroud Quarterly, The Horror Zine, Darkness Ad Infinitum, and The Library of the Dead. She is an Active Member of the HWA, and currently works for both Villipede Publications and as the Chief Editor of Eldritch Press’ Novel Division.
In 2015, her short story “Baby’s Breath” was nominated for a Bram Stoker Award for Superior Achievement in Short Fiction and won the Best Horror Short Story Award in the Preditors & Editors Readers’ Poll. It is also due to be featured on the Tales to Terrify podcast and is available in a full color chapbook on Amazon. “Transference,” the opening paragraph of “Baby’s Breath,” was originally a micro-fiction piece featured on Episode 503 of The Wicked Library, and is a Finalist in the Best Speculative Fiction Audio Drama (Long Form) category of the 2015 Parsec Awards.
