Story: “The Library on the Other Side of Town” by Aaron Vlek
Cartwright and Enfield Detective Agency had shuttered its doors under what they call “mysterious circumstances”. After a catastrophic destruction of their offices in Manhattan, with the Cartwright half of the equation missing and presumed dead, Frank Enfield winds up in Bellevue.
When he gets out, he’s looking for a little relaxing R&R in upstate New York, but a certain mysterious Librarian has other plans. Enfield is flung out of the frying pan and into flames of “that weird shit, from the other side of town, run by the boys in the back room,” and he finds he just might have a taste for that kind of work.
